βThe world we live in is dynamic; it is constantly changing, as are we; moving through time - day to day, week to week. Trees stay anchored in the same place, and time goes on around them, remaining centered, changing yet immovable.
My work explores both movement and time, by creating imagery that captures a sense of "static motion". To create this form of movement I have walked around the subject matter whilst photographing, later building and re creating the image as a whole - layering, merging and blending images together to create one final composite.
Through photography I want to show new ways of seeing, a tree, an object that is seen every day, manipulated to evoke time, change and also question our perceptions in this chaotic world.β
